Bruce Carter returned an interception 25 yards for a TD in the fourth quarter as the Cowboys completed the largest regulation comeback in team history.
Austin Davis was 30-of-42 for 327 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions for the Rams (1-2), who used two early Dallas turnovers to take the lead. Zac Stacy had 12 carries for 67 yards for the Rams.
The Cowboys scored the final 10 points of the first half, received a 68-yard TD pass from Romo to a wide-open Bryant early in the third quarter and a field goal after a 44-yard run by Murray late in the period to pull within 21-20. Romo then found Terrance Williams on a crossing pattern for a 12-yard TD before Carter's pick made it 34-24. Davis capped an 80-yard drive with a 4-yard TD toss to Austin Pettis, but Mo Claiborne picked off a deep pass by Davis with just under two minutes left to seal it.
Davis took the Rams 80 yards on 15 plays on their first possession of the game, finding tight end Lance Kendricks in the left corner for a 1-yard TD, and then connected with Brian Quick down the left sideline for 51 yards and a 14-0 lead after a fumble by Murray. Janoris Jenkins returned an interception 25 yards for a 21-0 lead before Murray scored from one yard out and Dan Bailey kicked a 29-yard field goal.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Murray joined Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith as the only players in franchise history with three straight 100-yard rushing games to open a season. … Romo has thrown a TD pass in 32 straight games. … Cowboys' leading tackler LB Rolando McClain and LB Justin Durant did not play due to groin injuries.
