Titans 38, Jets 13: Jake Locker threw for a career-high three touchdowns before he was knocked out with a right hip injury early in the third quarter as host Tennessee beat up on turnover-prone New York.

Locker connected on all three of his scoring passes in the opening half to spark the Titans (3-1) to a 24-6 lead, but he had to be carted off the field and was admitted to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital after absorbing a helmet to the chest. Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a 77-yard TD pass to Nate Washington, who had four receptions for 105 yards and two scores.

Rookie Geno Smith turned in an awful performance for the Jets (2-2), getting intercepted twice - both by Alterraun Verner - and fumbling twice, with each turnover leading to a Tennessee touchdown. Smith finished 23-of-34 for 289 yards and a 34-yard scoring pass to Jeff Cumberland in the fourth quarter.

The Titans set the tone right from the outset when Verner picked off Smith on New York's second play from scrimmage, setting up Locker's 1-yard scoring pass to Delanie Walker. After the teams traded field goals, Zach Brown forced a fumbled by Smith that Verner brought back to the Jets' 26, leading to a 4-yard scoring pass to Washington for a 17-3 lead with 6:46 left in the second quarter.

Smith made another costly mistake five minutes later on Verner's second pick and Tennessee capitalized again on Locker's 16-yard scoring strike to Justin Hunter, who made a leaping catch in the end zone for a 24-6 cushion with two seconds left in the half. The mistake parade culminated in the fourth quarter when Karl Klug sacked Smith and recovered his fumble in the end zone to make it 31-6.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Locker was taken to the hospital by ambulance after Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson drilled him in the chest with his helmet, spinning him around and off another defender before he landed on his back and clutched at his right hip. ... Jets WR Stephen Hill suffered a head injury on New York's second play of the game and did not return and WR Santonio Holmes went out in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury. ... Locker completed 18-of-24 passes for 149 yards and RB Chris Johnson was limited to 21 yards on 15 carries for the Titans, who had not scored more than 17 points against the Jets in the previous seven meetings.
