Sebastian Janikowski set a franchise record with six field goals and the Oakland Raiders ended the short-handed Chicago Bears’ five-game winning streak with a 25-20 victory on Sunday.

Janikowski connected on attempts of 40, 47, 42, 19, 37 and 44 yards and Michael Bush had a late touchdown run for the AFC West-leading Raiders (7-4), who earned their third straight win.

The Bears (7-4) lost for the first time in more than a month without quarterback Jay Cutler (broken thumb), who underwent surgery last week for a broken right thumb.

Caleb Hanie threw two touchdowns and three interceptions in his first career start. He nearly engineered an impressive comeback

Bush’s touchdown run gave the Raiders a 25-13 lead with 3:47 to play, but Hanie and the Bears responded immediately with a five-play, 84-yard drive. Hanie connected on 81-yard pass to Johnny Knox. Two plays later, he hit Kellen Davis for a 9-yard touchdown with 2:11 left.

The ensuing onside kick bounced around after Charles Tillman hit a Raiders player, but Oakland recovered.

Chicago had one last chance with just over a minute left. After starting at his own 4-yard line, Hanie drove the Bears to midfield, but the game ended when he was called for intentional grounding while trying to stop the clock with a spike.

It was one of several miscues made by the third-year quarterback. His most egregious mistake came late in the first half when the Bears were inside the Oakland 10-yard line. Hanie’s ill-advised toss-back screen pass to Davis was tipped by Aaron Curry and returned 75 yards by Kamerion Wimbley.

That led to Janikowski’s fourth field goal of the half, which gave the Raiders a 12-7 lead.

Hanie finished 18 of 36 for 254 yards.
