Mike Nugent hit a 43-yard field goal as time expired, and the Cincinnati Bengals handed the visiting Buffalo Bills their first loss of the season with a 23-20 victory Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium.

After losing their previous two games by a combined seven points, the Bengals (2-2) came out on the right end of a tight one for once and ended a 10-game losing streak against the Bills.

Rookie quarterback Andy Dalton led two fourth-quarter scoring drives, capping the first with a 3-yard touchdown run on a designed draw play to tie it at 20-20 and getting the Bengals into position for Nugent's winning field goal

Dalton also threw a touchdown pass to Jermaine Gresham in the second half as the Bengals rallied from 14 points down.

The Bills (3-1) found themselves on the wrong end of a comeback after rallying from first-half deficits of 18 points or more in each of the previous two games.
