Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a pair of touchdown passes and the Buffalo Bills dealt the Dolphins’ playoff hopes a crushing blow with a 17-14 win at Miami on Sunday.

After a scoreless first quarter, Fitzpatrick connected with David Nelson for an 18-yard score to give Buffalo a 7-0 lead.

Chad Henne was 33 of 45 for 276 yards passing with an interception for the Dolphins (7-7).

Henne connected with Brandon Marshall midway through the fourth quarter on a 9-yard scoring pass to cut the deficit to 17-14.

Miami got the ball back trying for a game-tying field goal late in the game but ran out of time.

Neither team cracked 80 yards rushing the ball.

Fitzpatrick was 16 for 26 passing for 223 yards. His 15-yard touchdown pass to Steve Johnson made it 17-7 in the third quarter. Buffalo improved to 4-10 and has won two straight.

Ronnie Brown scored on a 6-yard touchdown run for Miami.
