Michael Vick threw for one touchdown and ran for another as the host Philadelphia Eagles outlasted Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts 26-24 on Sunday.

Vick, making his first start in over a month, threw for 218 yards on 17-of-29 passing and rushed for 75 yards on nine carries as the Eagles (5-3) improved to 12-0 following a bye week under coach Andy Reid.

DeSean Jackson returned from a one-game absence due to a concussion and had seven receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown for Philadelphia, which remained one game behind the New York Giants in the NFC East.

David Akers kicked four field goals and cornerback Asante Samuel clinched the victory by intercepting Manning with five seconds to play.

Manning finished 30 of 51 for 287 yards with one scoring pass and a pair of picks as the Colts (5-3) fell into a tie with Tennessee atop the AFC South and saw their three-game winning streak snapped.

Tight end Jacob Tamme had 10 receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown and reserve tailback Javarris James added a pair of short scoring runs for Indianapolis, which had won its last 13 games in the month of November.
