Demaryius Thomas caught eight passes for 97 yards and a touchdown in his NFL debut as the Denver Broncos defeated the Seattle Seahawks 31-14 Sunday for their NFL-best 11th straight victory in home openers.

Knowshon Moreno had 118 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown for the Broncos (1-1), who improved to 24-3 in home openers since 1984.

Denver quarterback Kyle Orton was 25 of 35 for 307 yards and two touchdowns as he improved to 20-5 at home in his career.

Orton connected with Eddie Royal for a 13-yard touchdown in the first quarter and with Thomas for a 21-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to give the Broncos a 31-7 lead.

Royal finished with five catches for 65 yards.

Matt Hasselbeck had a 20-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter and an 11-yard touchdown pass to Ben Obomanu in the third quarter for the Seahawks (1-1).

Hasselbeck finished 20 of 35 for 233 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions.
