Wake Forest used a 13-0 run in the second half to overcome a seven-point deficit en route to a 63-55 victory over Virginia in an ACC game Saturday in Charlottesville, Va.

It was Wake Forest's first road win over Virginia since 2010, and the catalyst was balanced scoring. Four players reached double figures for the Demon Deacons (14-4, 4-3), led by Jake LaRavia's 15 points. Alondes Williams finished with 14 points, and Daivien Williamson and Isaiah Mucius each scored 12.

The bulk of Virginia's offense was through Armaan Franklin, who scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting (3 of 5 on 3-pointers). Only one other Virginia player made into double-figures in scoring with Kody Stattmann reaching 11 points.

Virginia (10-7, 4-3) shot just 36.2 percent from the floor (21 of 58), and especially struggled from the outside. The Cavaliers hit just five 3-pointers, and only had one in the second half.

Wake Forest had its share of offensive struggles too, but they were largely with ball movement as opposed to shooting. The Demon Deacons had 13 turnovers to just seven assists.

Virginia had 11 turnovers, but added 17 assists on top of the turnovers. Virginia's Reece Beekman led all players in the game with seven assists, and no other player even reached five.

Virginia led by as many as nine points in the first half, taking a 22-13 advantage on a 3-pointer by Stattmann with 6:15 to play in the half. The Cavaliers led 29-27 at the break.

Virginia opened a 47-40 lead with 10:23 to play on a jumper by Jayden Gardner. But Wake Forest responded with its run, taking a 53-47 lead on a dunk by LaRavia with 4:18 left.
