Kylor Kelley had a career-high 22 points as Oregon State rolled to an 80-58 win over visiting Grambling on Saturday afternoon in Corvallis, Ore.

Kelley, a 7-foot senior center, made 7 of 8 shots and added seven rebounds and seven blocked shots for the Beavers (5-1). The reigning Pac-12 block leader, who averaged 3.4 per game last season, has 26 in six games this season, including 13 in the past two contests.

Oregon State lived in the paint and at the foul line, outscoring Grambling 40-26 close to the basket while making 24 of 30 free throws. The Beavers used a 42-29 rebounding edge to overcome a 4-of-20 performance from 3-point range, shooting 46.4 percent overall.

The Beavers led 44-30 at halftime and built that margin to 17 before Grambling went on a 7-0 run to pull within 52-42 with 16:14 left. OSU went more than four and a half minutes without a field goal before senior forward Tres Tinkle scored underneath with 12:46 to go to make it 56-44. Oregon State led by double digits the rest of the way.

Tinkle had 17 points, six rebounds and six assists, while junior forward Alfred Hollins scored 18. Junior guard Ethan Thompson added 13 for OSU, which improved the 17-0 in the past three seasons when scoring at least 80 points.

Grambling (3-2) dropped its second in a row after a 3-0 start in which the Tigers averaged 110 points per game. They shot 37.3 percent, with senior guard Ivy Smith Jr. scoring 17 points and senior forward Devante Jackson adding 13.

Saturday's game was part of the preliminary round of the Las Vegas Classic. Grambling takes on Portland State on Tuesday in Santa Barbara, Calif., while Oregon State faces San Jose State on Wednesday in Las Vegas.
