Seton Hall's Myles Powell scored 17 of his game-high 30 points in the first half and three other Pirates finished in double figures in a 90-75 win over the visiting Georgetown Hoyas on Wednesday in Newark, N.J.

Powell finished with 30 points and got plenty of help from Michael Nzei, Myles Cale and Sandro Mamukelashvili.

Nzei had 18 points and nine rebounds, Cale scored 17 points, and Mamukelashvili stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Seton Hall (15-9, 6-6 Big East) won its second straight, while the Hoyas (15-10, 5-7 Big East) lost their second in a row.

Jessie Govan led the Hoyas with 20 points and pulled to within three points of tying Allen Iverson on the all-time Georgetown scoring list.

Down by 21 in the second half, the Hoyas cut the deficit to 11 on a 3-point jumper by Jamorko Pickett with 7:28 left. William & Mary transfer Greg Malinowski had the hot hand, getting the Hoyas back in the game with 14 second-half points.

But the Pirates went on a 7-0 run with Quincy McKnight hitting a jumper and a layup, and Cale connecting on a 3-pointer to seal the game for the Pirates.

After the Hoyas took a 7-6 lead on Govan's dunk, Mamukelashvili buried a 3-point jumper to give the Pirates a lead they would not relinquish.

Cale hit a 3-pointer a few minutes later, and Powell connected on three free throws and Mamukelashvili drained another trey to put the Pirates up 12.

Shavar Reynolds' reverse layup around Govan gave Seton Hall a 23-9 advantage. Malinowski ended the Hoyas' three-plus minute drought with a layup.

But by then, Seton Hall was in control and took a 19-point lead on Powell's free throws.

The Pirates led 48-28 when the Hoyas scored the final seven points of the half to trail by just 13 at intermission.

Govan's layup to start the second cut the Hoyas' deficit to 11, but Seton Hall was able to push the lead back to 21 on Powell's layup with 16 minutes left.
