Utah hit its last three shots from the floor, including two huge 3-pointers, to pull away from in-state foe Utah Valley in the final minute of a 87-80 win Tuesday night at Jon M. Huntsman Arena in Salt Lake City.

The Utes (6-1) trailed 78-75 with less than two minutes left before going on an 8-0 run that featured 3-pointers from junior forward Tyler Rawson and sophomore guard Parker Van Dyke. Utah iced the game at the foul line and ended the contest on a 12-2 run spanning the final 1:46.

Junior guard JoJo Zamora led Utah with 17 points on 4-of-8 shooting and a flawless 8-for-8 showing at the foul line. Junior forward Kyle Kuzma notched a double-double with 16 points and a team-best 12 rebounds.

Five Utes scored in double figures, as Rawson finished with 14, senior guard Lorenzo Bonam also had 14 points and Van Dyke contributed 11 -- nine of which came from beyond the 3-point arc.

Junior forward Isaac Neilson had a game-best 28 points, went 13-for-20 from the floor and corralled 15 rebounds for Utah Valley. The Wolverines (5-3) also got 21 points from senior guard Jordan Poydras and another 14 from junior guard Brandon Randolph.

Both teams had productive nights on offense. The Utes shot 50.8 percent from the floor and hit 45.5 percent (10 of 22) of their 3-point tries. Meanwhile, Utah Valley shot at a 49.2 percent clip from the field and had assists on 19 of its 32 made field goals. Utah held the slightest of edges on the glass, outrebounding the Wolverines 35-34.

Utah will put its impressive record to the test Saturday when it travels to Cincinnati to face No. 13 Xavier. Utah Valley returns home to face Utah Valley on Saturday.
