Behind the play of guard Kasey Hill, Florida held off a late Arkansas charge and downed the Razorbacks 68-61 at Bridgestone Arena in the second round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Nashville, Tenn.

Florida (19-13) will meet top-seeded Texas A&M (24-7) in the quarterfinals Friday.

The Gators, leading the entire second half, saw their advantage cut to 60-59 when Arkansas guard Dusty Hannahs was credited with a layup on a goal-tend with 1:09 left.

But Hill, who had a game-high 18 points and five assists for Florida (19-13), answered with a reverse lay-up in traffic, while Gators forward Dorian Finney-Smith (13 points, nine rebounds) and guard KeVaughn Allen both hit a pair of foul shots in the final minute.

Hannahs poured in 33 points for the Razorbacks (16-16).

With Florida's defense and foul trouble limiting second-team All-SEC center Moses Kingsley (10 points), the Razorbacks turned to Hannahs, who kept Arkansas within striking distance through an array of short jumpers and floaters in the lane. He was 12-of-23 from the field and hit all seven attempts from the foul line.

After a closely-contested first half featuring slow offensive starts by both teams, Florida used its defense to end the half on a 9-0 run and take a 29-23 lead at the break.

Arkansas (16-16) was whistled for 26 fouls and the Gators for 24. Six players had at least four fouls and Arkansas guard Anton Beard and forward Trey Thompson both fouled out.

It was a needed step for the Gators in an attempt to get on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble.
