ATHENS -– If you haven't been paying attention to 15th-ranked Texas A&M, perhaps you should.

While Kentucky continues to be the program that most continue to point to when it comes to the Southeastern Conference, the Aggies continue to win, their latest victory a 79-45 rout of Georgia on Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum.

The Aggies (15-2, 5-0 in the SEC) claimed their eight consecutive victory heading into another huge game Tuesday night at LSU.

Georgia is 9-6, 2-3.

Texas A&M did little wrong. If the Aggies did, one had to look awfully hard.

Three players scored in double figures for Texas A&M, Jalen Jones leading the way with 12 points and 12 rebounds, with Alex Caruso and Danuel House each adding 12 points.

Georgia did not have a single player score in double figures, while the 45 points represented a season-low for coach Mark Fox's team, marking the first time that's happened since 2009 against Kentucky.

Texas A&M put its stamp on the game from the outset, bolting out to a 38-23 halftime lead, getting contributions from up and down its roster against a Bulldog team which suffered its worst loss in Fox's seven years as head coach.

In all, eight players scored for the Aggies in the first half, led by Tyler Davis who went 4-for-4 from the field to finish with nine points, with Jalen Jones chipping in with nine rebounds.

Georgia, meanwhile, couldn't but a basket.

The Bulldogs only converted 8-of-29 shots in the first 20 minutes (27.6 percent), with guards Kenny Gaines, J.J. Frazier and Charles Mann going a combined 3-for-16.

Texas A&M, one of those rare college teams to start four seniors, enjoyed a double-digit lead throughout the first half, until a 3-pointer by Bulldog Turtle Jackson brought Georgia within 23-16 with 6:22 on the clock.

But the Aggies answered, getting back-to-back three-pointers from Caruso and D.J. Hogg to go back up by 11, ultimately building a 17-point margin at 38-23 before heading into the locker room up by 15.

NOTES: Aggie guard Alex Caruso did get a single steal, but is still the best in the nation with an SEC- and NCAA-best total of 237. Caruso is aiming to lead the conference in that category for the third straight year. ... Despite the loss, the Bulldogs are in the midst of their winningest two-year period in regards to SEC play, with 23 conference victories dating to last year. ... Georgia came into the game ranked first in the SEC and seventh in the country in field goal percentage defense (.369).
