Junior guard Dusty Hannahs scored a career-high 26 points and Arkansas hit 16 3-pointers as it pulled away for an 82-68 SEC victory over Mississippi State on Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Razorbacks (8-7, 2-1 SEC) were 16 of 24 from 3-point range and shot 50 percent overall. Hannahs hit eight 3-pointers and senior guard Anthlon Bell had five from long-range and finished with 25 points.
The Bulldogs (7-7, 0-2) were within 65-61 with 4:41 left, but Arkansas hit four 3-pointers down the stretch to pull away.
Junior forward Moses Kingsley added 13 points for the Razorbacks and senior guard Jabril Durham had 10 points, 12 assists six steals and four rebounds.
Senior guard Craig Sword led Mississippi State with 21 points and senior forward Gavin Ware had 14.
The Bulldogs outscored Arkansas 28-14 in the paint, but the Razorbacks scored 20 points off 14 turnovers.
Bell scored 15 points in the first half as Arkansas took a 36-32 lead.
The Razorbacks hit eight first-half 3-pointers, including three apiece from Hannahs and Bell.
Arkansas had two points in the paint in the first half.
