The hot shooting of junior guard Katin Reinhardt powered USC to a 101-82 victory over Cal Poly on Thursday night at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.

Reinhardt scored a season-high 29 points for USC (9-2), which won its fourth in a row. He made nine of 12 field-goal attempts, including seven of nine from 3-point range. Freshman forward Chimezie Metu scored 16 points. Junior guard Julian Jacobs had 10 points and 13 assists.

Senior guard David Nwaba scored 15 points to lead Cal Poly (5-5). Sophomore forward Luke Meikle and sophomore guard Taylor Sutlive had 13 points apiece.

Reinhardt scored seven points in less than a minute to give USC an 11-4 lead. The Trojans stretched their lead to 14, but 3-pointers by senior guard Reese Morgan, Meikle and Sutlive helped the Mustangs cut the deficit to seven at the break.

Two 3-pointers by Reinhardt spurred a 13-2 run that put USC up 62-46 with 16:50 to play in the second half. The Trojans maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way and went up by as many as 21 points late in the game.
