No. 18 Texas A&M continued its impressive start with a 75-65 home win over Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday at Reed Arena in College Station, Texas.
Blessed with one of the nation's most efficient and balanced offenses, Texas A&M (7-1) -- a team that hasn't been to the Big Dance since 2011 -- outlasted Florida Gulf Coast (4-4).
The game was tied at 4-4 at the first TV timeout, but the Aggies then went on an 8-2 run to take a 12-6 lead with 13:35 left before the break. By halftime, A&M -- fueled by Jalen Jones' 19 first half points --led the Eagles by 10 points, 39-29. The Aggies maintained their lead over the game's second 20 minutes to get its seventh win of the 2015-16 campaign.
The Aggies will travel to Arizona State on Saturday.
