No. 6 Arizona 90, Oregon 56: Gabe York scored 13 of his 16 points in the second half to lead six players in double figures as the Wildcats routed the visiting Ducks for their fifth straight win.

Brandon Ashley added 13 points and Stanley Johnson had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists for Arizona (19-2, 7-1 Pac-12), which shot 59.3 percent and forced 16 turnovers. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Kaleb Tarczewski chipped in 11 points apiece to help the Wildcats extend their home winning streak to 33 games.

Elgin Cook led Oregon (14-7, 4-4) with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting while leading scorer Joseph Young was held to 12 points. Dillon Brooks was 2-of-10 shooting for 11 points off the bench for the Ducks, who were outrebounded 34-20 and saw their modest two-game winning streak come to an end.

Arizona led 42-27 at the break after shooting 60 percent and outscoring the Ducks 24-8 in the paint. Oregon opened the second half by making seven of its first eight shots and cut the deficit to 56-46 on Young’s basket with just over 13 minutes remaining.

York answered with nine straight points – including two 3-pointers – as Arizona used a 14-0 run to regain control and squash Oregon’s comeback hopes. T.J. McConnell, who had 21 points in the Wildcats’ 80-62 win over the Ducks on Jan. 8, scored all 10 of his points in the first half and surpassed the 1,200-point mark for his career.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wildcats have outscored their last five opponents by an average of 19.2 points. ... Oregon, which came in as the Pac-12’s highest scoring offense at 77.8 points per game, shot 40.4 percent – including 5-of-16 from 3-point range. … Arizona’s bench outscored Oregon’s reserves 33-13.
