Xavier 69, No. 19 Seton Hall 58: Dee Davis scored a game-high 14 points and had six assists to lead the host Musketeers to the Big East victory.

Trevon Bluiett finished with 13 points and seven rebounds for Xavier (11-4, 2-1), which improved to 9-0 at home this season. James Farr, Matt Stainbrook and Myles Davis all finished with eight points for the Musketeers, who shot 50 percent from the floor.

Angel Delgado scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Haralds Karlis added 10 points for Seton Hall (12-3, 2-1), which had a three-game winning streak snapped. The Pirates, who shot 41.1 percent from the field, finished with 11 turnovers that led to a 15-8 Xavier edge in points off turnovers.

Seton Hall, coming off back-to-back wins over top-15 ranked teams for the first time since 1992, took a 22-18 lead after a 3-pointer by Karlis with seven minutes to go in the first half. But Bluiett scored five points to spark a 13-2 spurt by Xavier, which would go on into halftime with a 33-28 lead.

The second half featured six lead changes and five ties before the Musketeers took control with a 14-3 run, capped by a Bluiett jumper, to take a 59-52 lead. Xavier built its advantage to as many as 11 points on a layup by Remy Abell with 2 1/2 minutes remaining, and Seton Hall never got closer than nine points the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Seton Hall played its fourth straight game without second leading scorer Isaiah Whitehead (11.9), who is sidelined indefinitely with a stress fracture in his foot. ...
