Incarnate Word 74, Nebraska 73: Kyle Hittle capped an 18-point effort with a go-ahead jumper with 2.7 seconds left as the visiting Cardinals stunned the Cornhuskers.

Freshman Jontrell Walker led Incarnate Word (6-1) with 19 points while Shawn Johnson had 13. Denzel Livingston and Traylin Farris scored 12 points apiece for the Cardinals, who scored eight points in the final 25 seconds to hand Nebraska its second straight home loss.

Shavon Shields scored 19 points to pace the Cornhuskers (5-3) and Terran Petteway had 18 but committed a key turnover that set up Hittle's decisive shot. Walter Pitchford chipped in 10 points for Nebraska.

Taj Webster's 3-pointer gave the Cornhuskers a 62-53 advantage with under six minutes left before Incarnate Word put together a rally, getting within 71-68 on Farris' layup with 25 seconds left. Johnson was fouled shooting a 3-pointer two times down the stretch - making 4-of-6 free throws - to cut the deficit to 73-72 before Petteway threw the ball away and Hittle hit a baseline jumper to give the Cardinals the win.

Shields had five points in a game-opening 8-0 run and Nebraska still led by five late in the first half before Incarnate Word put together a 14-6 push across halftime to take a 35-32 lead in the first minute of the second half. The Cornhuskers rebounded and gained a double-digit advantage at 50-40 on Pitchford's 3-pointer with 13 minutes left before Johnson had two baskets in an 11-3 push by the Cardinals that set up a tight stretch run.
