No. 16 Virginia 63, Clemson 58: Joe Harris led a balanced attack with 16 points as the visiting Cavaliers upended the Tigers for their ninth straight win
.
Malcolm Brogdon and Mike Tobey added 14 points apiece for Virginia (21-5, 11-1 ACC), which won at Clemson for the first time since 2007. Anthony Gill hit all four of his field goals while contributing 12 points off the bench.
K.J. McDaniels' 24 points paced the Tigers (15-9, 6-6), but he didn't get much help. No other Clemson player had more than seven points or two made field goals as the Tigers fell for the fifth time in seven games.
Clemson went up by as many as seven on Damarcus Harrison's 3-pointer with 8:33 remaining in the first half, but Virginia responded with a 12-0 run - fueled by seven points from Harris - to go up 26-21. The Tigers made it a one-point game on the strength of five straight points by McDaniels, but Tobey's tip-in just shy of the buzzer helped the Cavaliers go into the break with a 31-28 advantage.
Neither team led by more than one possession until McDaniels' dunk with 11:03 remaining put Clemson up 41-37. Virginia battled back with an 8-0 run keyed by a Harris 3-pointer, and Brogdon iced it with six free throws down the stretch as the Cavaliers overcame late 3-pointers from Austin Ajukwa and McDaniels.
