No. 8 Duke 86, Elon 48: Andre Dawkins scored 15 points on five 3-pointers as the Blue Devils won their fifth straight in a game played in Greensboro, N.C.

Jabari Parker finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Rodney Hood scored 13 points and Quinn Cook and Rasheed Sulaimon each added 11 points for Duke (11-2). The Blue Devils forced 22 turnovers and shot 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from 3-point range.

Lucas Troutman and Ryley Beaumont each scored 11 points to lead Elon (7-7), which had its two-game win streak snapped. The Phoenix, who came into the game ranked ninth in the nation in 3-point shooting (42.5 percent), connected on only 5-of-21 attempts beyond the arc.

Duke never trailed in the contest, jumping out to a 14-2 lead in the first six minutes behind a pair of 3-pointers by Dawkins. The Blue Devils led by as many as 22 points, 35-13, in the first half en route to a 35-18 halftime lead.

Elon never got closer than 17 points in the second half as the Blue Devils blew the game open with a 25-6 run that featured Dawkins' fifth trey of the game to make it 68-32 with 9:11 left. Hood's 3-pointer with 3:15 remaining gave Duke its largest lead at 82-43.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cook, who finished with three steals, has 16 steals in his last three games. ... Dawkins connected on his first four 3-point attempts before missing, snapping a streak of eight 3-point makes in a row over two games. ... The Blue Devils have won 25 straight games in the month of December dating back to a 73-69 loss to Wisconsin on Dec. 2, 2009.
