Texas A&M 68, Rice 65: Jordan Green scored six points - five in the last minute - including the game-winning 3-pointer with 6.7 seconds to play to give the Aggies a narrow home win.

Kourtney Roberson led Texas A&M (3-0) with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Davonte Fitzgerald added 14 points. Alex Caruso scored 11 points and dished out seven assists for the Aggies.

Rice (1-2) was led by Max Guercy's 17 points and nine assists, while Austin Ramljak added 11. Seth Gearhart and Marcus Jackson each tallied 10 for the Owls.

The game was close throughout, but Gearhart put Rice up 57-53 with 5:46 to go before Antwan Space hit a free throw and a 3-pointer to tie the game for Texas A&M with 4:08 to play. Guercy responded with a 3-pointer to put the Owls back up, but Space scored again to draw the Aggies within one.

Roberson made a layup with 2:08 to play to put Texas A&M ahead, but Guercy's layup with 1:01 to go gave Rice the lead again. Green scored his first field goal with 41 seconds to play to put the Aggies ahead before Guercy hit one of two from the line to tie it with 26 seconds left, setting the stage for Green's game-winner.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ramljak had a shot at the tie, but missed a 3-pointer with two seconds to play. … Texas A&M connected on just 3-of-18 shots from 3-point range after hitting 13 in its first two games. … The Aggies lead the all-time series 107-82.
