Pittsburgh 73, Villanova 64 (OT): Talib Zanna scored nine of his 14 points in overtime and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds as the Panthers held off the visiting Wildcats.

James Robinson added 14 points for Pittsburgh (23-7, 11-6 Big East), including a 3-pointer with 28.3 seconds left in the extra session for a 69-64 lead. Robinson also deadlocked the game with a 3-pointer at the end of regulation and Tray Woodall collected 13 points and 11 assists for the Panthers.

Ryan Arcidiacono led the way with 23 points for Villanova (18-12, 9-8), which has not won at Pittsburgh since 1996. Mouphtaou Yarou added 14 points and eight rebounds, while JayVaughn Pinkston had 13 points for the Wildcats.

Arcidiacono recorded 13 points in the first half, including a pair of 3-pointers during a 12-2 run that gave Villanova its biggest first-half lead of six. The Panthers responded by scoring five of the last seven points to close within 28-25 at intermission.

Villanova pushed its lead to nine before Durand Johnson hit a pair of 3-pointers in a 17-8 run that tied the game at 43 with 10:02 left. Arcidiacono followed with a 3-pointer and another basket for the Wildcats, but Pittsburgh fought back to tie it at 57 on a Robinson 3-pointer with 33 seconds remaining in regulation.
