No. 9 Arizona 68, Utah 64: Mark Lyons scored 13 of his game-high 18 points in the second half as the visiting Wildcats held off the Utes and halted a two-game slide.

Solomon Hill and Brandon Ashley each added 10 points for Arizona (21-4, 9-4 Pac-12), which held Utah to 39.6 percent from the field after allowing each of its previous two opponents to shoot better than 50 percent.

Jarred DuBois poured in 16 points and Jason Washburn tallied 15 points to pace Utah (11-14, 3-10).

The Wildcats held a 33-25 advantage at the break and stretched the margin to 13 points twice early in the second half, but the Utes used a 21-8 surge over an 8:16 stretch to knot the contest at 51 with 7:29 left.

A three-point play by Lyons capped five unanswered points from Arizona and the Wildcats allowed only one field goal over the final 4:47 - a 3-pointer by Washburn - as time expired. Lyons converted two layups and a pair of free throws over that same span to preserve the victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Arizona has won the last seven meetings, including two this season by a total of seven points. … After a three-game stretch in which he scored a total of 21 points, Washburn is averaging 20.3 points over his last three contests. … Utah hasn’t won consecutive conference games since winning three straight from Feb. 16-22, 2011.
