Jason Washburn matched his career high with 26 points and the host Utes came from behind late to knock off the Sun Devils.

Jordan Loveridge added 13 points for Utah (11-13, 3-9 Pac-12), which had lost four of its previous five games.

Carrick Felix had 14 points and 11 rebounds and Jahii Carson contributed 12 points for the Sun Devils (18-7, 7-5), who have lost three of four.

The Utes took an early 16-7 lead behind seven points from Washburn and maintained a 29-22 lead at the break.

Arizona State moved ahead, 43-39, on a layup by Felix and stretched the lead to eight on a 3-pointer by Chris Colvin with 7:17 remaining, but the Sun Devils made just two field goals the rest of the way. Utah moved ahead for good on a basket by Washburn with 1:26 remaining and the Utes went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the final 32 seconds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Washburn posted his season-high point total for the second consecutive game. He had 20 points in Saturday’s loss to Oregon. … Arizona State’s last five games have been decided by five points or less. … The Sun Devils blocked four shots, leaving them five behind the school record of 172 set in 1996-97.
