No. 19 Oregon 73, Utah 64: E.J. Singler scored 18 of his game-high 21 points in the second half as the Ducks stormed back to defeat the visiting Utes and snap a three-game losing streak.
Damyean Dotson scored 16 points and Arsalan Kazemi had 11 points and 14 rebounds for Oregon (19-5, 8-3 Pac-12), which trailed by eight at halftime before outscoring the Utes 51-34 after the break.
Utah trailed 43-38 with 11:50 remaining before Oregon took control with an 18-2 run. Jason Washburn led Utah with 20 points and Jarred DuBois added 15 for the Utes, who were outrebounded 41-19.
Utah cut the lead to 61-55 with 2:03 left, but coach Larry Krystkowiak received a technical foul and the Ducks closed the game by making 11 of their final 12 free throws to secure the victory.
Oregon improved to 2-4 without freshman point guard Dominic Artis, who is out indefinitely with a knee injury. The Ducks, who were unbeaten in league play at the time of Artis’ injury, had their 20-game home win streak snapped by Colorado on Thursday.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Oregon attempted 35 free throws after shooting two against Colorado. The Ducks were 27-of-35 at the line, while Utah was 11-of-16. … Brandon Taylor, Cedric Martin and DuBois each fouled out for the Utes. … Taylor, who scored a career-high 21 points in a win over Oregon State on Wednesday, was held to six points on 2-of-8 shooting.
