Wisconsin 45, No. 14 Minnesota 44: Traevon Jackson hit a pull-up jumper with 2.1 seconds to play and the Badgers survived a last-second missed free throw to send the visiting Golden Gophers to their fourth consecutive defeat.

Jackson, who also hit the go-ahead jumper with just over a minute to play, front-rimmed the game-winner that bounced off the backboard and barely beat the shot clock to halt a two-game skid for Wisconsin (14-6, 5-2 Big Ten).

Minnesota (15-5, 3-4) still had a chance to tie when Mike Bruesewitz fouled Trevor Mbakwe, who injured his wrist on the play and came out of the game. Rodney Williams took the free throws in his place, making the first before misfiring on the second to bring an end to the frenzied finish.

Ryan Evans and Sam Dekker were the only players in double figures with 10 points apiece for the Badgers, who beat the Golden Gophers for the fourth consecutive time and improved to 15-1 against them at home since 1994.

Andre Hollins scored a game-high 20 points but also was whistled for an offensive charge with 39 seconds left for Minnesota, which has lost each of the last four by eight points or fewer.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Jackson finished with nine points as the Badgers limited their seventh opponent to 49 points or fewer. ... Mbakwe pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds for Minnesota, which was held to a season-low total one game after scoring 48 points in a loss at Northwestern. ... Wisconsin improved to 120-2 at home under coach Bo Ryan when holding an opponent under 60 points.
