North Carolina 79, Georgia Tech 63: Reggie Bullock scored 17 points as the host Tar Heels pulled away in the second half en route to their third straight victory.

Reserve P.J. Hairston added 15 points and James Michael McAdoo chipped in 14 and nine rebounds for North Carolina (13-5, 3-2 ACC). Bullock, Hairston and McAdoo were a combined 17-of-36 from the field.

Kammeon Holsey tied a season high with 18 points off the bench for Georgia Tech (10-7, 0-5), which shot 36 percent and committed 19 turnovers. Freshman Chris Bolden added 10 points and was the only other Yellow Jacket in double figures.

North Carolina never trailed and opened its first double-digit lead at 25-15 on McAdoo's dunk with 9:32 remaining in the first half. The Tar Heels expanded it to 13 on Bullock's 3-pointer with 8:04 remaining but Georgia Tech used a 15-6 run to get within 36-32 with 2:04 to play before Bullock and J.P Tukoto hit consecutive jumpers for a 40-32 lead at halftime.

Georgia Tech was within 42-33 after Daniel Miller's layup 35 seconds into the second half but North Carolina quickly stretched it to 15 on Bullock's 3-pointer with 14:19 to play. The Yellow Jackets hung around for a few more minutes but after getting to within 11 midway through the half, the Tar Heels clinched the win with a 12-5 run capped by Hairston's steal and one-handed dunk with 6:23 to play.
