No. 9 Duke 88, Florida Gulf Coast 67: Mason Plumlee scored a career-high 28 points and freshman Rasheed Sulaimon added 19 as the host Blue Devils rolled off a 30-0 run to cruise past the Eagles.

Plumlee was nearly perfect from both the field (9 of 11) and the free-throw line (10 of 11) and teamed with Ryan Kelly to collect nine rebounds apiece for Duke (3-0).

After Filip Cvjeticanin's 3-pointer gave Florida Gulf Coast (2-2) a 30-29 lead with 5:40 remaining in the first half, Quinn Cook made his second 3-pointer in a 30-second span to ignite the Blue Devils' pronounced run.

Kelly scored seven points during the stretch to carry Duke to a 52-30 halftime lead. The Blue Devils started the second half with seven more before Bernard Thompson's 3-pointer ended the dry spell.

Thompson finished with a team-high 24 points for Florida Gulf Coast, which was looking to knock off its second ACC opponent this season. The Eagles posted a 63-51 victory over Miami in the season opener.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Duke's Seth Curry drilled a 3-pointer to tie the game at 21-21 midway through the first half. The basket was the first of the night for Curry, who finished with 10 points. ... The Blue Devils have recorded 20 straight regular-season tournament victories, dating back to the championship game in the 2006 CBE Classic. ... Cook had nine of the Blue Devils' 19 assists.
