Minnesota 82, Toledo 56: Joe Coleman, Austin Hollins and Rodney Williams Jr. combined for 40 points on 15-for-21 shooting as the Golden Gophers trounced the visiting Rockets.

Coleman scored 15 points, Hollins had 13 and Williams contributed 12 points, eight rebounds and four steals as Minnesota cruised to its second consecutive victory.

Minnesota opened the game with 12 consecutive points and the Rockets' first field goal didn't come until 14:46 remained in the first half. Toledo (0-2) never threatened and the Golden Gophers' lead was 48-22 at halftime.

Rian Pearson scored 18 points for the Rockets, but Toledo shot only 31.1 percent from the field compared to Minnesota's 49.1 percent. Freshman Nathan Boothe chipped in 13 points.

Oto Osenieks led Minnesota's bench with eight points. The Golden Gophers had a 43-20 edge on the boards.
