San Diego State 98, Texas Christian 92 (OT): Jamaal Franklin scored four of his career-high 35 points in overtime as the No. 23 Aztecs claimed a share of the Mountain West Conference regular season title and the top seed in the conference tournament.

San Diego State (24-6, 10-4 MWC) led by 18 with 15 minutes to play, but Texas Christian (17-13, 7-7) stormed back with a 29-11 run and tied the game at 77 with 5:39 remaining.

After Hank Thorns hit a 3-pointer with two minutes left to give Texas Christian an 83-80 lead, Tim Shelton forced overtime on his three-point play with 21 seconds to go.

Franklin tallied his 11th double-double with 13 rebounds for the Aztecs, who improved to 4-0 in overtime this season and 14-1 in their last 15 overtime games.

The Horned Frogs lost for only the third time in 16 home games despite Thorns’ 25 points and six rebounds. Reigning MWC Player of the Week J.R. Cadot added 24 points and eight boards.

After San Diego State jumped to a 94-88 lead in overtime, Thorns made it a three-point game on his fifth 3-pointer with 47 seconds left, but the Aztecs hit three of their next six free throws to secure the victory.

Chase Tapley scored 18 points and Xavier Thames added 16 for the Aztecs, who outrebounded Texas Christian 47-34 and won their eighth straight against the Horned Frogs.
