CLEMSON 60, VIRGINIA 48: Senior guards Andre Young and Tanner Smith scored 13 points each as host Clemson handed No. 22 Virginia its third loss in four games.
Forward Devin Booker scored all 10 of his points in the second half for the Tigers, who finished on a 16-7 run.
Clemson (13-12, 5-6) avenged an earlier four-point loss to Virginia.
It was a sweet win for the hard-luck Tigers, who have lost five ACC games by four or fewer points.
Virginia (19-6, 6-5), which came in averaging 11.5 turnovers, committed 18 turnovers and shot 3 of 16 from beyond the arc.
Point guard Jontel Evans led the Cavaliers with 17 points.
Virginia’s second-leading scorer, guard Joe Harris, who fractured his left (non-shooting) hand in Saturday’s loss at North Carolina, did not start. He shot 1 of 5, missing all four of his 3-point tries, and committed three turnovers.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Virginia lost consecutive games for the first time all season. ... UVA freshman Malcolm Brogdon started in Harris' place and had nine points and three assists. ... Smith and Young showed senior leadership, combining for seven assists, six steals and just two turnovers.
