SOUTH FLORIDA 63, PITTSBURGH 51: Hugh Robertson scored a season-high 18 points and the Bulls limited the Panthers' leading scorers Tray Woodall and Ashton Gibbs to 15 combined points for their fifth victory in six Big East home games.

Robertson made all seven of his field-goal attempts and was 4 for 4 from the free throw line. Anthony Collins added 11 points and Augustus Gilchrist had 10 for South Florida (14-10, 7-4 Big East), which shot 57.5 percent from the field and held Pittsburgh to 34.6 percent. Collins was 7 for 8 from the free throw line.

Woodall, named national player of the week Monday after scoring 53 points in two games, led the Panthers with 11 points, but was 4 for 13 from the field. Gibbs was 2 for 9 and had a season-low four points as Pittsburgh (15-10, 4-8) had a four-game win streak snapped.

South Florida led by as much as six in the opening 20 minutes and settled for a 27-23 halftime advantage after Jawanza Poland’s 3-pointer at the buzzer. Robertson scored 10 of his points in the first half to lead the Bulls.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Pittsburgh was held scoreless for the first 5:37. … South Florida was 11 for 19 from the field (57.9 percent) in the first half. … South Florida won the battle on the boards 27-23 and has outrebounded nine of 11 Big East opponents.
