Senior guard Andre Young poured in a career-high 29 points as host Clemson snapped a three-game skid with a 64-62 win over Georgia Tech.

Young, who came in 18 of 30 on 3-pointers in his career against Tech, used excellent screens to nail 7 of 9 from beyond the arc Saturday.

The Tigers (10-9, 2-3 ACC) beat Tech for the fourth straight time.

The Yellow Jackets (8-11, 1-4) committed an astonishing 17 first-half turnovers and trailed 34-19 at the break. They entered the game averaging 14.5 turnovers and finished with 22.

Rebuilding Tech rallied late thanks to a scoring surge by Glen Rice Jr., who finished with 19 points and 8 rebounds. But the Jackets never had a chance to tie; Mfon Udofia hit a 3-pointer with one second left to tighten the final score.

Tech has lost three straight and seven of eight under first-year coach Brian Gregory.

A campus-wide power outage interrupted the game for 22 minutes in the first half.

Clemson’s win tied the all-time series at 60-60.
