Kenny Boynton scored 26 points and Bradley Beal added 18 as No. 12 Florida cruised past Rider 90-69 in Jacksonville, Fla., on Friday.

Patric Young collected 12 points and nine rebounds and Erving Walker chipped in 12 points for the Gators (7-2), who return to stronger competition against No. 25 Florida next weekend.

Florida was coming off a loss to No. 3 Syracuse and an overtime victory against Arizona. The Gators had a much easier time with the Broncos (1-9), who could not match the speed or physicality of the SEC players.

Florida never trailed and used a 16-5 run early in the first half to break the game open. Boynton buried a 3-pointer and Young capped the spurt with a dunk in transition off a feed from Walker.

Beal hit two 3-pointers and Walker added another in an 11-2 burst to start the second half, stretching the lead to 54-29 and sending the Gators into cruise control. Boynton, Beal and Walker combined to hit 12 3-pointers and Florida went 14-of-33 from beyond the arc.

Jeff Jones scored 18 points to lead Rider, which has dropped five straight.
