Gerald Robinson and Travis Leslie each scored 17 points and Georgia took control early in an 86-64 win over Mississippi State Saturday in a Southeastern Conference battle of Bulldogs in Athens, Ga.

Georgia (14-4, 3-2 SEC) rebounded nicely after suffering its first home loss of the season earlier in the week at the buzzer to Tennessee. Mississippi State (10-8, 2-2) saw its modest two-game winning streak come to an end.

Georgia used runs of 11-3 and 13-3 in the first 7:30 of the game and connected on 6 of 10 from 3-point range to take a 42-29 halftime lead. In the second half, Georgia built its lead to as large as 25. Mississippi State would get no closer than 16 the rest of the way.

Trey Thompkins added 15 points while Jeremy Price chipped in 11 for Georgia, which shot a season-best 58 percent from 3-point range, making 11 of 19. The 11 treys is the second highest total this season for Georgia, which outrebounded Mississippi State 43-21.

Dee Bost paced Mississippi State with 20 points to go along with his five assists and five steals. Renardo Sidney added 15 points and nine rebounds.
