Preston Knowles hit six 3-pointers and finished with 31 points while Kyle Kuric drained seven from long range and finished with 25 as No. 20 Louisville ran past Morgan State, 104-74, on Monday.

The Cardinals hit 17-of-23 from long range and 37-of-65 from the floor (57 percent) in a dominating offensive performance. Louisville faces a much tougher test when they host No. 12 Kentucky on Friday before kicking off its Big East slate with Seton Hall on Jan. 5.

Louisville (11-1) shot 9-of-12 from 3-point range in the first half to take a 58-28 lead into the break. The Cardinals’ pressure defense forced 21 turnovers in the first 20 minutes, allowing them to get out and run the floor. Kuric was 5-of-7 from beyond the arc and led the way with 17 points in the half.

Morgan State (4-6) held its own in the second half but the damage had already been done.

Dewayne Jackson scored 22 points for the Bears, who go home to face Robert Morris before visiting another ranked team in No. 23 Baylor on Jan. 4.
