Kemba Walker finished with 20 points and Jeremy Lamb added 11 as No. 4 Connecticut used a huge first half to roll past visiting Harvard 81-52 on Wednesday.

Alex Oriakhi grabbed nine rebounds for the Huskies (10-0), who controlled the glass 40-26.

Connecticut put it away early, surging out to an 11-0 lead in the first six minutes and holding the Crimson without a field goal for the first eight minutes.

The Huskies only got seven points out of Walker in the first half but still managed to take a 48-21 lead into the locker room as freshmen Lamb and Shabazz Napier scored nine points apiece. UConn limited Harvard to 7-of-29 shooting in the period.

The Crimson (7-3) performed better after the second half but the damage had already been done and UConn coasted to the finish.

The Huskies’ schedule gets considerably tougher next week, as they open Big East play at No. 6 Pittsburgh on Monday. They return home to play South Florida on New Year’s Eve before hitting the road to face two more Top 25 teams in Notre Dame and Texas.
