St. John’s ended a two-game losing streak with a 62-57 victory over Davidson on Monday in the Madison Square Garden Holiday Festival.

St. John’s (6-3) advances to play Northwestern in the final Tuesday, while Davidson (5-5) meets St. Francis in the consolation.

The Red Storm were coming off losses to Wagner 67-66 and Fordham 84-81.

It was a strong offensive night for the Red Storm, who shot 21 of 46 (45.7 percent) as D.J. Kennedy collected a team-high 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting.

Brendan McKillop scored a team-high 17 points for Davidson, which shot 16 of 47 (34 percent), but 9 of 23 (39.1 percent) from 3-point range.

St. John's is 11-6 all-time against Davidson.
