Austin Freeman’s 14 points led a balanced Georgetown attack as the Hoyas jumped on Loyola and cruised to a 99-75 win.

After trading baskets early, No. 13 Georgetown (10-1) went on a 21-4 run to take a 35-14 lead with six minutes left in the first half. The Hoyas led 50-27 at halftime as Freeman, Henry Sims and Chris Wright each had at least 10 points by intermission. The Hoyas shot 70 percent in the half, while holding Loyola under 30 percent.

Georgetown finished the game shooting better than 60 percent (34 of 56) from the field. The Hoyas made 10 three-pointers, led by Hollis Thompson, who made three of four attempts and tied Freeman with 14 points.

Loyola’s Justin Drummond led all scorers with 18 points. The Greyhounds dropped to 4-6.

Georgetown, which has already beaten No. 12 Missouri, finishes the calendar year with tough games. The Hoyas play at No. 19 Memphis on Thursday and at No. 23 Notre Dame on Dec. 29 before starting Big East Conference play Jan 1. vs. DePaul.
