LeBron James collected 33 points, 10 assists and five rebounds as the Miami Heat exploded in the second half and snapped a three-game losing streak with a 120-98 victory over the visiting San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.

Chris Bosh added 30 points and eight rebounds for the Heat, who were playing without Dwyane Wade (sprained ankle).

Miami had dropped three in a row in part because the defensive effort in those contests was not up to the standards the team had set last season. It looked like that would be the story again Tuesday when the Spurs cruised into the half with a 63-49 lead after being allowed to shoot 57 percent.

Something must have clicked in the locker room because the Heat were a different team after the break.

Miami began the period with a 29-5 run as James buried three 3-pointers and totaled 15 points in the burst. The Heat would go on to outscore San Antonio 39-12 in the third quarter and roll into the final 12 minutes with an 88-75 edge.

Not content to let off the gas, Miami let Mike Miller loose from long range in the fourth quarter, getting five 3-pointers from the veteran sharpshooter to turn it into a blowout.

The Heat shot 68 percent in the second half.

Daniel Green scored 20 points and Tony Parker added 18 for the Spurs, who fell to 0-5 on the road.
